Care in Place Workshop
Learn how precision health technology can be delivered to individuals wherever they are.
This workshop is designed for nurses and caregivers who are interested in improving health care for patients living at home, in facilities, or elsewhere.
Approach
This course is available online or in person and can be taken individually or with a group.
It is based on the concept of learning by doing and includes many hands-on, project-based tasks.
Each student is assigned a mentor or educator to work with as they apply their learning to individual projects or case studies.
In-class learning is supplemented with self-assessments on the Pingoo micro-learning app to ensure proper review and retention of course content.

Workshop description
Precision health is an expanding field with numerous applications. One such application is care in place which refers to the delivery of healthcare technologies to individuals wherever they are. This workshop will provide an overview of the latest and greatest advancements in science and technology that make this approach to healthcare possible. We will cover the foundations of precision health and various digital health technologies, including telehealth, mobile technology, sensors, wearables, and more. All of these tools provide unique opportunities to make healthcare more personalized and accessible for patients.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be better equipped to apply what they’ve learned in their own practice as nurses, caregivers, and more.
